"Will expressed an interest in a career in catering at the age of about 14; his granddad trained as a chef, which had him interested from a young age and he really took to his food technology lessons when he was at school.
We often spoke about his plans when he was growing up – we did all the things we could do as parents to support him and he’s always had great ambitions!
It was his work experience with Heston Blumenthal at The Fat Duck that really cemented his career plans though – it completely changed his life and he hasn’t looked back. We’ve both always been 100% behind him; he’s worked really hard to get to where he is now and it’s fantastic to see him doing something that he enjoys."
